The University of Strathclyde, founded in 1796, is one of Glasgow’s oldest institutions. With the aim of becoming an International University of Technology, the University of Strathclyde is home to 20,000 students of around 100 different nationalities. Today, the university is made up of four main faculties: the Faculty of Engineering, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (HaSS), Strathclyde Business School and the Faculty of Science

The University School of Government and Public Policy has a long tradition of interaction with national and global media organizations, governments, parliaments and international bodies such as the EU and the OECD.
