The University of Strathclyde, founded in 1796, is one of Glasgow’s oldest institutions. With the aim of becoming an International University of Technology, the University of Strathclyde is home to 20,000 students of around 100 different nationalities. The institution was named University of the Year by Times Higher Education in 2012 and again in 2019, making it the first university to receive this award twice.
Today, the university is made up of four main faculties: the Faculty of Engineering, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (HaSS), Strathclyde Business School and the Faculty of Science
The University School of Government and Public Policy has a long tradition of interaction with national and global media organizations, governments, parliaments and international bodies such as the EU and the OECD. Pathways
Unlike Brazil, there are no entrance exams in other countries. Admission for international students is usually determined by academic performance, a good level of English, extracurricular activities, volunteer work, references, and good results on standardized tests (IELTS, TOEFL, SAT). In the United Kingdom and Australia, the Foundation program is mandatory for Brazilian students who have completed high school. It lasts an average of nine months, and it is possible to enroll on various dates throughout the year. In the US and Canada, Pathways is a great option for entering excellent universities, as it is a preparatory program with university credits. It lasts between six and twelve months, with enrollment dates throughout the year.
Undergraduate
Studying abroad provides personal development and can greatly contribute to a successful career. Graduating abroad offers several advantages and life opportunities, lasting between three and six years depending on the course. Some destinations offer internship and work opportunities during or after the program.
