University of Dayton
The University of Dayton has a rich history and an established reputation since its founding in 1850. It is recognized for its long tradition of high quality education, committed to Catholic and Marianist values. The institution has about 8,000 undergraduate and 2,200 graduate students, forming a diverse community with students from more than 40 countries.
The university offers more than 80 programs in a wide variety of areas. Programs in engineering, law, business, health sciences and education are particularly noteworthy. The institution is also a benchmark in Aviation. It recently announced the opening of an LLM course, as well as being the leading Catholic university for research and development in engineering. More than 150 patents have been awarded to the University of Dayton, including one for the hot bags that Domino’s Pizza uses to keep its delivered pizzas warm.
The University of Dayton has a student newspaper ( Flyer News ), a student-run radio station ( WUDR Flyer Radio 99.5/98.1 FM ), a student-run TV station Flyer Station and Orpheus Art & Literary Magazine (the oldest student organization). The campus offers modern facilities, well-equipped laboratories, comprehensive libraries and advanced research centers, providing an environment conducive to learning and academic development. In addition, fraternities and sororities have been part of student life at the University of Dayton since 1933.
