Queen’s University Belfast
Located in the capital of Northern Ireland, Queen’s University Belfast was founded by Queen Victoria in 1845 and is the 9th oldest university in the UK. Queen’s offers approximately 300 academic degree programs at various levels. The university is a member of the Russell Group of research-intensive universities, the Association of Commonwealth Universities, the European University Association, Universities UK and the University of Ireland.
Queen’s University Belfast is associated with two Nobel Prize winners and a Turing Award winner. Academic life is organized into fifteen schools spread across three faculties: the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences (AHSS), the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences (EPS) and the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Life Sciences (MHLS). The Queen’s Physical Education Centre (PEC) is one of the largest sports centers in Ireland.

Pathways
Unlike Brazil, there are no entrance exams in other countries. Admission for international students is usually determined by academic performance, a good level of English, extracurricular activities, volunteer work, references, and good results on standardized tests (IELTS, TOEFL, SAT). In the United Kingdom and Australia, the Foundation program is mandatory for Brazilian students who have completed high school. It lasts an average of nine months, and it is possible to enroll on various dates throughout the year. In the US and Canada, Pathways is a great option for entering excellent universities, as it is a preparatory program with university credits. It lasts between six and twelve months, with enrollment dates throughout the year.
