Western Washington University

Created as a pedagogical school for women in 1886, Western Washington University is the northernmost university in the United States, with an average enrollment of 15,000 students. Located in the city of Bellingham, overlooking scenic Bellingham Bay, the campus is next to the Sehome Hill Arboretum Nature Park, providing access for students to explore the forest and the six kilometers of trails.

WWU prides itself on its sustainable and ecological stance, consuming 100% renewable energy since 2004 and housing one of the oldest environmental schools in the country, Huxley College of the Environment, founded in 1969.
