Florida Atlantic University
Florida Atlantic University is located in the beautiful coastal city of Boca Raton and offers a wide variety of programs, including Oceanography, Jewish Studies, Business Administration, Theater, among others. There are 180 different degree programs. One of the outstanding areas of study is the Oceanographic Institute, which allows students to take advantage of the campus’ location next to the Atlantic Ocean, allowing on-site research for marine biology and other degree programs. Florida Atlantic University is classified by the Carnegie Foundation as a university with high research activity, and FAU’s programs of excellence – The Center of Excellence in Biomedical and Marine Biotechnology and The Center for Ocean Energy Technology – receive funding and donations annually to continue advancing research. The Florida Atlantic Owls compete in NCAA Division I.
